Brandon Diaz - Founder & Head Instructor
Raised in the Antelope Valley since 1995, Brandon first found tennis at the age of 11. He graduated from Highland High School in 2010 on the varsity tennis team. He began coaching in 2013 becoming the Quartz Hill High School boys' head coach (2013-2016) and Highland High School girls' head coach (2015-2016). He is a USPTA Professional coach and founded Excel Tennis with close friends. His health and fitness background paired with his degrees in Kinesiology and Masters in Nursing and Education lay the foundation for Excel Tennis. His unique teaching style and framework spreads to his coaches and students. He is a tournament director for USTA and UTR, manager for the UTR Flex Leagues of the AV, and runs the Antelope Valley Tennis Foundation - a nonprofit designed to give free education and tennis to local underserved youth of the AV. He is also the director of nursing at a local college where he works towards developing future healthcare providers.

Boris Alvarez - Lead Instructor
Boris played for Highland High School for 3 years, quickly growing into a top player and leader for his Varsity team. He has been playing competitive tennis for over 10 years and continues to compete in the local community. His passion for physical fitness is a central foundation for his coaching style. As one of the founding members of Excel Tennis, Boris remains one of the leading influences on the development of tennis in this community. He is a USPTA Professional coach and currently teaches tennis and serves Highland High School as a tennis coach.

Jovie Francisco - Lead Instructor
Jovie was a top 3 overall singles player in the Antelope Valley, serving Highland High School for all four years under the coaching of Linda Ruiz. He graduated as singles number 1, and now serves the Antelope Valley as a coach for Excel Tennis under the instructional vision of Brandon. He has 8+ years of experience in tennis while being a leader in Excel Tennis in fitness. He is a registered nurse at and serves the community as both a healthcare provider and a influence to the youth through his tennis programs with Excel Tennis.

Antonio Solis - Lead Instructor
Antonio played tennis for Eastside High School for 4 years and maintained an impressive 4 years as singles number 1 as well as team captain. With 6 years of tennis under his belt and being an Excel Tennis student by attending Excel Tennis summer camps, tournaments, and private lessons with coach Jovie, Antonio serves.Excel Tennis as a Lead Instructor for tennis classes in both Palmdale and Lancaster classes. He is also following a nursing major like many of the Excel Tennis staff!

Anthony Perez - Excel Tennis Stringer
Anthony serves Excel Tennis as the official stringer for all players, coaches, and the majority of the Antelope Valley. With wholesale costs from brands like Head and Solinco, he offers the best and most affordable string jobs with a great turnaround time! Thank you Anthony!

Linda Ruiz
Linda Ruiz played for Pierce College and helped drive the team to win State Championships. She has many years of USTA playing experience and countless USTA tournament wins to compliment it. She began teaching in San Fernando - quickly becoming the manager of the Northridge Tennis Club. She moved to the AV and started the tennis program for Highland High School. With 20+ years of coaching experience, she now coaches with Excel Tennis at Owen Memorial Park.
